Verdi
Based on a story by William Shakespeare, the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi wrote the opera Otello. Stage director David Alden created his version of this tragedy for the Teatro Real, in Madrid. Renato Palumbo conducts the orchestra.

Albéniz
Isaac Albéniz wrote his magnum opus `Iberia' in Paris between 1905 and 1908. It encompasses 12 pieces in total, spread over four books. The composer took inspiration from several Spanish cities: influences of local folk music are clearly felt.

De Falla - El sombrero de tres picos
